Ohhhhhh these new shadows I got from Crystal Coast are so pretty!!! They are brighter and more intense than her other very romantic, soft colors.
Ohhhhhh these new shadows I got from Crystal Coast are so pretty!!! They are brighter and more intense than her other very romantic, soft colors.
Here's a look I did for work with a pale pink from Crystal Coast called Pink Pearl and the 88 shimmer palette from BH Cosmetics. I ended up really liking the color combo. I used the Pink Pearl on the lid and #83 from the shimmer palette to contour in the crease with my 224 brush. I finished it off with #88 in the outer V. Thanks for looking! I cut out my eyebrows lol... I don't know what they were doing that day.
I never EVER wear soft, baby pinks but I got this really pretty pink from Crystal Coast and I figured now is a great time to start! I still don't know if pinks look right on me but here ya go anyway!!
Of course, apply your primer. Too Faced Shadow Insurance works best for me. UD Primer Potion actually creases on me.
I apply CC Pink Pearl foiled with my homemade mixing medium on the inner 2/3's of my lid to just past my crease. I used my Mac 213 but any small shader brush will do.
Use the tip of the 213 and apply Pink Pearl to inner 2/3's of the lower lashline.
I flipped the brush over and applied Lumiere Soft Fuschia foiled on the outer third of my lid. Blend it into the Pink Pearl.
I used my Sonia Kashuk blending brush to apply Mac Parfait Amour to my crease. I went about 2/3's of the way in towards my nose allowing the brush to sort of sink in to my eye socket. (lol that sounds really bad) I went in one direction from out to in to keep the colors more concentrated on the outside.
With the same brush I took the purple side of the L'oreal Hip Duo in Sculpted and wiggled it into my crease starting by my lashline and following the socket 1/3 of the way in. This adds a lot of much needed dimension to my eyes.
I take my fluffy 224 and Seedy Pearl and applied under my brow blending into the other colors so that there is no harsh line but rather a gradiation in color.
Liner and lashes...
Here's a monochromatic look I did in my fav!! BLUE!! The baby blue color is Crystal Coast Little Boy Blue and it is lovely! I applied it foiled with my homemade mixing medium like I almost always do. This blush is also by Crystal Coast and it is goooooorgeous! Its a shimmery berry, pink and is just so pretty! It's called Sherbert. I wish it photographed better but you can check out the swatches here. I even mixed Sherbert with my Rosebud Salve and wore it as a gloss. Hope you guys like it!!
I got some more samples of some Crystal Coast products and I am so excited to try them!! I got 3 shadows Pink Ice, Gold Digger and Little Boy Blue. I also got Pink Champagne Bronzer, Sherbert blush (gawwwwwwwwwgeous) and the Luminous Glow Veil in dark. Just recapping from my last review of Crystal Coast, the shadows (at least the ones I've tried) are not over the top shimmery, very silky smooth and easy to blend. Her blushes are never over the top shimmery... just the perfect glow. They are also very reasonably priced and its always great to support a stay at home mom who, like all of us here, has a passion for makeup.
Right out of the packaging, the Pink Champagne Bronzer and Sherbert Blush jumped out at me. They were so gorgeous!! They are simply divine on. Pink Champagne is a soft pink with peach and gold undertones and gold shimmer. It gives off the perfect glow without looking like a disco ball. I'm telling you Karen has got the formula down! Again I'm not a huge fan of too much shimmer but her products are the perfect balance. The sheen it gives off is amazing! I only wish I could capture it better on camera. Sherbert looks a little bright but when applied it is the the perfect berry pink. Great color for the summer!! It has the same finish as Pink Champagne... perfectly dewy. Pink Ice is a pale, baby pink with an almost metallic finish. Gold Digger is a pale yellow that has a flatter finish than Pink Ice but still pearlescent. It is beyond creamy to apply! Little Boy Blue is a baby blue with the same consistency and finish as Gold Digger. The Luminous Glow Veil in dark is the darker version of what I reviewed here. Swatches are below. I also did a look with Little Boy Blue and Sherbert here and one with just the Glow Veil and Pink Champagne down below.
Crystal Coast is an eBay based company that uses 100% natural ingredients to create a high quality yet affordable mineral makeup. They choose not to use bismuth oxychloride which can cause irritation and redness in some. If you ever had a problem with mineral makeup, chances are it was the bismuth oxychloride that caused it. They manufacture all their products which means savings for us, the consumer. I was thoroughly impressed by their website and the range of products available. I know as a makeup junkie myself that I can be quite leery when purchasing on eBay. Crystal Coast is definitely a reputable seller that I would recommend to people who don't like to purchase on eBay. Karen is the mastermind behind Crystal Coast and is an absolute doll!
I received 6 sample sized goodies in the mail, very nicely packaged I might add. All the jars were tightly sealed AND taped securely. I wish ALL mineral makeup companies did this since we all know that loose makeup is very messy. Each jar was professionally labelled on the top of the jar which I loved! It was a clear label with black writing so you could still see through to the product. No more trying to carefully tilt an open jar of loose shadow to find the name of the product! I got 3 shadows in Lucky, Butter Cookie and Pink Pearl. Also, I got a blush in Paradise, an All Over Angel Glow and Luminous Glow Veil. The shadows were very silky, very blendable and not chalky at all. They were also very luminous and had a glow about them as opposed to glitter which is not my style. I can only take so much glitter lol..
